Hi Tom, and welcome aboard!
If by "it" you mean the interface, then I agree that a PHP version would
be a big value-add. It so happens that I'm starting to work on a PHP
interface for another site that's using FX, and will shortly be writing
a PHP module that allows the interface to talk to the Perl back-end.
I'll post that when it's ready, and also include it in the next tarball.
FWIW, I don't think it's cost-effective to redo the back-end in PHP --
there's quite a bit of code there ;-) I've actually been a writing a new
back end in Java that adds some interesting features (it's currently still
in Alpha, and not yet released), but existing interfaces will be able to talk
to it with only minor modifications.
